Welcome to Coleman County…the best kept secret in Texas!

The mission of Destination Coleman is to promote tourism and the tourism industry in both the city of Coleman and Coleman County.  We are a 501 (c) (6) non-profit corporation, and our efforts are made possible by our dedicated membership.

Coleman is nestled comfortably on the northwestern  edge of the Texas Hill Country and beckons you to visit and take a break from the hustle and bustle of big city life.  A visit to Coleman is a step back to a simpler, friendlier time!

We are proud of our rich history, our fine dining and award-winning wines, our luxury accommodations, and our unique shopping opportunities.  Coleman is becoming known as a destination for foodies and wine connoisseurs alike.

For the outdoor enthusiast, Coleman offers visitors a wide variety of opportunity.  Five lakes grace Coleman County (Coleman, Hord’s Creek, Scarborough, Memory and O.H. Ivie).  As the Hunting & Fishing Capitol of Texas, the Coleman area offers sportsmen and women a wide range of adventure, from fishing for lunker largemouth bass on O.H. Ivie to hot-barrel dove shooting to hunting for trophy white-tailed deer and Rio Grande turkey.

Be sure to check our calendar for upcoming events in the Friendliest Town in Texas…where you arrive as a guest but leave as a friend!
